The train was late north of Birmingham probably as a result of attaching Brush Type 2 A1A-A1A 31 128 as pilot to 8F 2-8-0 48151. I guess someone had done a 'risk assessment' without undertaking a 'field study'. If the Health and Safety Manager responsible had sat in a field the resulting wet bottom would have provided the essential evidence.
