While photographing steam on the main line the previous day I learned from a very reliable source that the expected steam locomotive, 7822 FOXCOTE MANOR, had not arrived at Shackerstone and that the first Santa Trains were to be hauled by a Pannier Tank for one weekend only. On checking their website, I found a picture showing 6430 which I therefore expected to be the locomotive. Only two return workings were in daylight so I ventured out to capture as many shots as possible on a very relaxed timetable. For much of my visit the light was poor but I had a most enjoyable visit.
