The weather on Sunday 27th October 2019 was almost a complete opposite to the previous day. The dull and persistent rain that had ruined Saturday was gone and bright sunshine held sway almost throughout daylight hours. It should have been an excellent day for photography on the GCR including the final Mountsorrel running in 2019. Having both steam locomotives facing north was a great shame but timetable delays and changed schedules rather spoiled the occasion.
