The weekend of 23-24th October 2021 was billed as the final weekend in traffic for Black Five 4-6-0 45305. It has been a good locomotive at the GCR over many years. It always looks very smart and con be relied upon to put on a good show when the opportunity arises. Let us hope it is not too long before its overhaul is complete and it has a new ten year ticket. On Saturday 23rd October it was supported appropriately by Standard Class 5 4-6-0 73156 and a top and tail formation with D123 and D6535. For once most trains ran close to scheduled time except for the usual DALEX delays.
