"The Yorkshireman" from Ealing Broadway to York on Saturday 7th March 2020 looked likely to be the last ever outing for 60009 UNION OF SOUTH AFRICA. This made a trip to York essential. According to the internet site railtourinfo.co.uk the return journey was to be hauled by 6233 DUCHESS OF SUTHERLAND but this proved to be 'fake news'. Only time will tell if the situation with 60009 is permanent.
