I visited the Severn Valley Railway on Saturday 20th May 2023 for their Diesel Festival. It was a day of almost continuous sunshine with a very heavy timetable that provided countless opportunities for some spectacular shots. Almost inevitable timekeeping went astray but with their policy of selling tickets for particular trains with advertised motive power there was very little that could be done to recover time during the peak period when I was visiting. Put this aside, for it was a most enjoyable day that gave me, and many more visitors I am sure, splendid entertainment, many happy memories recalled and some photographs that I shall enjoy for a long time to come.
