I waited for what seemed like ages hoping the DMU would reach Birstall where I had intended to photograph both its Leicester North arrival and departure. I abandoned this venture, leaving me just time to dash down Kinchley Land to Rushey Lane overbridge. BR Standard Class 5MT 4-6-0 73156 was right on time hauling the 12:00 from Loughborough to Leicester North on Saturday 21st January 2023.
