On Sunday 24th September 2017 the usual timetable was modified to use two steam locomotives on all services except the 14:30 departure from Loughborough and its return as both steam engines were up the line with their previous workings. Unfortunately, a private party travelling on the nominal 13:50 ex-Loughborough must have arrived late causing the service to be disrupted; probably due to single line occupation south of Rothley.
