Economy seemed to be the main priority in the 2015 Santa programme at least so far as motive power provision was concerned. The service is quite heavy and requires one diesel and three steam locomotives. The Jinty, N2, Ivatt Class 2 and a Type 2 diesel electric dominated throughout.
