From the information on the GCR website it looked as though there might be some good photography to be had on Sunday 30th October 2022. Expected motive power was Stanier 8F 48305, Standard 5 73156 and EE Type 3 37 714. I was particularly interested to discover directions in which the steam locomotives are facing in the lead up to ‘The Last Hurrah’ and the ‘Santa Specials’. When both steam engines face south it makes photography much easier. I think an appropriate sub-title might be ‘Consolidating the Ten-Wheelers’.
