"The Cathedrals Express" on Saturday 18th November 2017 had been booked for haulage by 46233 DUCHESS OF SUTHERLAND. It was not until the train rounded the curve at Christleton that I discovered that 45699 GALATEA had been summoned as a late replacement. The Jubilee was supported by a Class 37 diesel electric at the rear of the train. Such was the potency of this pair that the train ran early along the North Wales Coast and I missed my shot at Abergele. However I was successful with photographs of the train leaving Conway, approaching Holyhead, at Valley and leaving Holyhead. My visit finished with a series of photographs as the locomotive took water while standing at LLandudno Junction Station in the dark.
