As I am at present without a car I was unable to go main-line on Saturday 2nd April 2022 but as Val did not intend to use hers on Sunday 3rd April I was able to borrow it to visit Loughborough and the GCR for the first weekend of the new High Season Timetable. Three locomotives, one diesel and two steam with the steam facing in opposite directions made me think more about where to go to take photographs other than the same routine that has prevailed during the winter period. No great change but I was fortunate in that it was mostly dull and so the dark shadow problem did not arise. All round it was a good day and I enjoyed my visit without too many camera problems.
