All seemed well with "The Yorkshireman" when 60103 FLYING SCOTSMAN rounded the curve on the approach to Ilkeston. The tanker and crew were ready to top up the tender ready for the run to Pontefract Baghill. I left immediately to return to Foxlow Junction for the next shot. Unknown to me, a medical emergency had developed on the train which caused a two hour delay at Ilkeston and Chesterfield. Too long for me to wait, I was travelling to Kings Lynn for the Speedway World Cup!
