Having missed my normal shot at Scotby, Cumwhinton or Duncowfold I deided not to risk the high fells and instead headed to Helwith Bridge. Soon after I arrived there this most amazing double rainbow formed perfect arcs over Pen-y-Gent. Unfortunately , before the train arrived, a heavy rain shower almost obscured Pen-y-Gent and diffused the rainbows. As 45562 ALBERTA came round the curve from Horton the rain eased and the rainbow reformed, sadly softer than before. There must be gold in that farm in the background, or is it a dairy farm making golden churn butter?
