At last the Settle & Carlisle line has re-opened following last years land slip in Eden Brows. 60103 FLYING SCOTSMAN was a suitable locomotive to haul the inaugural rail-tour over the entire line. The locomotive performed extremely well and the weather, particularly in the afternoon, was kind throughout.
