Although it was not built until 1950 and was subsequently fitted with higher superheat, double chimney and mechanical lubrication there is something remarkably Great Western about 7029 CLUN CASTLE. It was hauling “The Shakespeare Express” through Chessetts Wood on Sunday 12th February 2023.
