Saturday 21st October 2023 began wet and windy but nowhere near as bad as the previous two days. Storm BELA was on the way out – thank goodness. The postman duly arrived and delivered my “new version” of Photoshop; the loss of which, when my previous computer died, had seriously spoiled for me both the quality and pleasure in photographing trains. The decision was immediate. Reset the Canon and Nikon to Raw and head to the GCR. It remained essentially fine throughout my visit, the trains ran to time and, with the visitors gone, what could be better than 6988 SWITHLAND HALL, 73156 and D123. And, when I returned home, the software worked fine; success!
