On Saturday 27th August 2022 The Railway Touring Company again promoted a Cotswold Venturer railtour from London Paddington to Worcester and return. The train was routed in both directions via Swindon and Cheltenham and again, as on 18th June 2022, the motive power was Stanier Jubilee Class 6P 4-6-0 45596 BAHAMAS fitted with the experimental double chimney for improved draughting. The weather forecast was very good and I was confident that it would be possible to see the train in four locations and enjoy a pleasant interval at the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Steam Railway while the passengers were in Worcester.
