The weather on Sunday 2nd February 2025 was very different to the previous day. In the East Midlands we awoke to very bright winter sunshine that promised great detail with high contrast in photographs. There were also opportunities to record scenes on the railway that would have been difficult in poor light. Also, there were likely to be large numbers of photographers in popular locations which is great for the social side of the hobby but can make access to desirable positions difficult. It worked out well for me and I managed to record all three visitors in most of the public access locations I regularly use.
