I made a short visit to the GCR on Sunday 3rd March 2024 to see what was running and take a few photographs in reasonable light. It continued the Class 5MT theme from the previous day; with Modified Hall 4-6-0 6990 WITHERSLACK HALL and BR Standard 4-6-0 73156 taking the credit. It was a shame neither Thompson B1 nor Urie/Maunsell S15 could join the party. The other turn was in the hands of Metropolitan Cammell Class101 blue liveried DMU M50203 & E50266. Just a thought for anyone with a quirky mind like mine. 3 bit binary 101 is decimal 5; so, don’t think that the diesel unit broke the Class 5 theme!
