The second day of the 2015 GCR Diesel Gala had to be regarded as a disappointing show caused by significant late running, a braking system failure, train cancellation and poor operating for a major event. The practice of running Loughborough station with only one working platform for much of the day due to the priority given to servicing the dining train means there is no way that late running can be eliminated.
