"The Melton Rambler" on 12th August 2017 was a two part steam hauled excursion originating from Tyseley. With family commitments from late morning onwards, I could manage only two locations on the outward run. These both involved pannier tank 9600 piloting 5043 EARL OF MOUNT EDGCUMBE. Unfortunately the weather was poor and the train was delayed slightly at Syston by the enormous Class 66 hauled container train.
