The February timetable on the GCR does nothing to inspire an early start. I began photography with a lunchtime visit to Kinchley Lane where the light was very poor. Unfortunately, following turning the 8F for charter duties, it was rostered for the main steam hauled passenger trains. The sun managed to shine on the 15:45 down from Leicester North which helped make the visit worthwhile.
