The GCR website for Sunday 22nd February 2026 indicated that both Standard Class 2s, 78018 and 78019 would provide steam haulage and suggested that the single car unit, M79900,would run the railcar trips. How sensible! Why burn more coal and use more diesel than strictly necessary. They must be short of money if the news that Ellis’s has been closed is permanent.
