45157 THE GLASGOW HIGHLANDER was withdrawn from service on 29th December 1962. It is not known where the engine was scrapped. The photographs in this collection are of close relative 45407 which on a few occasions has been renumbered and fitted with replica nameplates. Unfortunately records show that 45157 only ever carried a vertical throatplate domeless boiler so, with a sloping throatplate domed boiler 45407 can never match the appearance of the engine it tries to portray.
