I visited the GCR again on Sunday 2nd May 2021 as the weather forecast looked very much better than that for the Bank Holiday Monday. It seemed most likely that the train service would be operated by 78018 which I believed to be still facing north, which is most definitely not my favourite orientation. Still it's steam therefore better than nothing! Other plans did not work out as well as I had hoped but it was nevertheless an enjoyable day that produced some slightly different photographs from my usual familiar repeat locations.
