It was quite a dash to get from Abbeydale to Colton ahead of “The White Rose” excursion on Wednesday 2nd February 2022 and, to be honest, I only just made it. The photograph shows BR(LMR) Royal Scot Class 7P 4-6-0 46100 ROYAL SCOT steaming through Colton South Junction under the recently erected 25 kV 50 Hz overhead electrification equipment. That’s another good photographic location for steam locomotive photography gone.
