On Sunday 6th March 2022 I had the opportunity to spend a short time on the GCR before heading north to see a main-line tour in the Sheffield area. I knew from the internet that the normal passenger service was expected to be hauled by north facing Ivatt Class 2 46521 with south facing 9F 92214 taking the dining car express. I didn’t see as much as I should have liked but the need for lunch and fuel took their toll on the number of shots.
