My journey past Stroud to find a suitable location for some final shots of “The Cotswold Venturer” on Saturday 18th June 2022 was spoiled by a road closure and poor signage for the necessary diversion. By the time I regained my route near Stroud I was after the published time for the train and concluded that I should head to Kemble to watch the departure after the water stop. This first image is useless as a photograph but might temp someone to turn it into a painting with dramatic exhaust.
