On my journey towards Stratford, I always give thoughts as to which of Tyseley’s locomotives will be rostered for “The Shakespeare Express”. Of late it has been predominantly 5043 EARL OF MOUNT EDGCUMBE. Not that I mind, because one double chimney Castle is much the same as any other, but it would be good to see 7029 CLUN CASTLE more often as it has been a long-term favourite for very many years going back to the 1960s. The day was fine and I photographed the moving train at two regular haunts and the run-round at Stratford just to kill a little time.
