Sunday 28th October 2018 was the first day after the end of British Summer Time and although the GCR continued with the Summer Timetable the late afternoon trains could be difficult to photograph as the sun falls low in the sky. It turned out to be a day with prolonged periods of bright sun but several very dark clouds brought regular sharp showers of quite heavy rain.
