I was surprised to find out that all three locomotives that had visited the Great Central Railway, Loughborough, for the 2025 Winter Steam Gala at the end of January were to work an enhanced timetable on the 1st and 2nd February. Due to a combination of unplanned circumstances, I had been able only to attend the main event for a very short time, so I could not resist the opportunity to see more of 4-6-0 6880 BETTON GRANGE, 2-8-0 3850 and 0-6-2T 6695. It also allowed me to use more locations than had been possible on that very busy Saturday 25th January. The weather on Saturday 1st February was rather cold and dull but remained dry throughout my visit and I thought there was good detail in most of my photographs. It was a very enjoyable visit.
