The weekend of 30th and 31st August 2025 was expected to be a combination of GCR on Saturday and Shakespeare Express on Sunday. Saturday went as planned but Sunday was cancelled for a family get together with two sons and three grandchildren. The weather forecast was not good for Saturday afternoon with rain from 15:00 onwards, so an earlier start than usual made sense. I was at the A6 bridge for the nine fifty departure but, when it appeared ten minutes late, I should have guessed something else was afoot! Have a look at the photographs to discover more.
