The journey from Leicestershire was quite pleasant until we reached the higher ground around Bala. The route to Trawsfynydd was in dense cloud and booking tickets in Blaenau Ffestiniog for the following day was greeted by an absolute deluge. Blaenau in the rain is not a pretty sight! We headed to Tan-y-Bwlch for coffee and a cake in the rain but it was fine to photograph the last train of the day at Minffordd and Penrhyn.
