With the weather conditions that prevailed on Saturday 19th February 2022, it was an easy decision to relocate to Fielding Road, Birstall, and shoot the 16:00 departure from Leicester North to Loughborough. I was in good time to see the up train but chose not to record another tender first passing view. During my wait the sun appeared twice for brief periods with an intervening rain shower. It was just about fine when Ivatt Class 2MT 2-6-0 46521 emerged from the deep section of cutting as it pulled away from Leicester North.
