At 15:15 two trains were scheduled to move simultaneously at Loughborough Central on Saturday 19th February 2022. The 14:45 from Leicester North was due to arrive as the 15:15 was due to depart. It would not necessarily be a problem if they were not booked to use the same platform. Unfortunately the diner was unloading in the only other platform and that, of course, takes precedence. The incoming train was the Metropolitan Cammell 3-car DMU with DMCL M50321 leading TRSBL E59575 and DMBS E51427.
