For the first time in almost 49 years a service train was scheduled to run on Britain's national network hauled by a steam locomotive and available to any passengers paying normal advertised fares. Of course there were issues - mainly the trains were fully booked by enthusiasts - but the principle had been established. These views are from the third and final day of operation.
