The regular high season weekend timetable provides plenty of photographic opportunities on the GCR. Just watching the trains pass by in the Leicestershire countryside is quite relaxing. On 25th June 2017 the main steam hauled service was hauled by 78018, 37 714 took the diesel trains and 92214 LEICESTER CITY hauled the 13:00 and 15:20 departures from Loughborough.
