The weather forecast for Saturday 2nd July 2022 was not as good as that for Sunday 3rd July and so I decided to visit my nearest Heritage Railway on the Sunday. It was a good choice with regular showers on Saturday but very few and light on Sunday. Unfortunately several of the trains ran late but it was delightful to see CR No.419 again. It really is a splendid engine and well up to the task of working the service both ways between Shackerstone and Shenton.
