The prospect of seeing LEANDER on the North Wales coast tempted me to plan to photograph the outward run on Sunday 18th July 2021. I almost cancelled my plans when I thought that the locomotive would be replaced. However I was wrong and so I was glad I had ventured out. I had planned three locations but messed up the second so I tried to make sure the last position was something different from my usual easy access, quick departure choice. My decision not to cover the return was right as the train ran later than timetable for most of the journey.
