This train might have been described in the media as 'The Britannia Express' but the locomotive gave the show away by carrying 'The Brexit Express' headboard. The date should have been the first after the UK's exit from the EU but there has been nothing express about the convoluted and tedious procedures invented by members of Parliament to delay or avoid withdrawal. As for the train, 70000 BRITANNIA performed faultlessly and demonstrated the best of Britain's Railway heritage.
