Sunday 2nd July 2023 was a rather dull day that showed occasional signs of improvement that rarely lasted for more than a couple of minutes. There was nothing special about the trains running on the Great Central on this visit, but the 9F, 8F and peak diesel are all appropriate for the early sixties period and never disappoint. I used the late morning to try out a location that I haven’t visited for decades. The images were satisfactory but the location was too dangerous for use again on down trains. The rest of my photographs were repeats of the familiar regular locations; boring to those that like variety.
