A star attraction of the event was double headed haulage of the final passenger train on Sunday 19th April 2015. As promised 8F 2-8-0 48624 and Class 5MT 45305 joined forces so well that by the time they reached Kinchley Lane there was a danger of exceeding the speed limit. Both engines were eased and the drifting exhaust almost wiped out the second locomotive and part of the train. Shame! The moral is "Go closer to Quorn next time".
