New Year's Eve 2018 had been announced as the final day of operation for 70013 OLIVER CROMWELL on the GCR before it is withdrawn for a major overhaul. Although the weather was very dull it was too difficult to resist a final shot of this iconic locomotive. It was also the day when I declined the offer of access to the lineside as an Official Photographer. Only time will tell if I made the right decision.
