45699 GALATEA replaced the advertised combination of 45407 and 45690 LEANDER on "The Pennine Limited" rail tour on Saturday 3rd March 2018. There was some disruption to the rail network caused by heavy snow in the west but the tour went ahead and seemed satisfactory when I first saw the train, about 17 min late, approaching Masbrough. Then it all went to pieces as the timetable was abandonned and the object seemed to be to return to Carnforth as quickly as possible. The return was apparently 80 min early!
