The weather forecast for North-West Leicestershire on Sunday 16th August 2020 was most discouraging and I questioned the wisdom of visiting the GCR. In the end I decided to go and, although conditions were dull and damp throughout, it remained dry until all passenger services were complete. Ivatt 2-6-0 46521 ran the three passenger carrying trains and the Class 50 diesel electric made its first appearance since lockdown at Quorn.
