I was undecided on the morning of Saturday 20th July 2024 whether or not to pop over to the GCR. After completing the shopping and noting that the rostered diesel locomotive was D6700 I decided to go and spend a short time at the usual locations that are now becoming very overgrown in some cases. All went well except for the irritation over the booked afternoon steam hauled up goods which appears to be a light engine move on Saturdays!
