Rumours were circulating widely that motive power for "The Merchant of Avon" on Sunday 8th September 2019 might be either 45690 or 46115. In true West Coast style it was 45699 GALATEA that ventured south with the stock on Saturday 7th! With near perfect weather GALATEA performed very well and looked superb with the sun lighting up the red livery.
