Sunday 24th June 2018 turned out to be one of those days when nothing went quite right for the Great Central Railway. Checking before leaving home showed the expected locomotives as 92214, 48624 and D6535. Fine! All able to be photographed with an intense sun as high in the sky as possible in mid-summer. The 8F was replaced by north facing 45621 running very late with the DALEX trains which, in turn, made every departure late from Loughborough for the rest of the day. Not good at all!
