The weekend of 12th-13th July 2025 was forecast to be extremely hot. There was little chance for steam haulage and the Battlefield Line were using 33 201 only on Saturday 12th July. What better opportunity to capture a few shots of an interesting diesel in bright summer weather? All departures were prompt and returns ran early which was slightly disappointing. I missed the first train entirely and returned home as soon as the last train departed from Shackerstone at 15:30.
